Pete

I fell in love with the art of tattoos at the very young age of 13, when I received my first for my birthday – a simple treble clef that I begged my parents for. Years later, at 18, that same love brought me back to it. Since then I have pursued it, embraced it and made it my own.

Now, at 24, I’m a licensed (female) tattoo artist based out of the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. I work in a tattoo studio as well as run a mobile tattoo service of my own, Inkwerkz for Her. My services are best known for catering mostly, but not limited to, those of the LGBTQ community. I’ve tattooed anyone from entrepreneurs, artists, lawyers, doctors,  servicemen, models and celebs to adult film stars (ie: Kapri Styles).

This art form has led me into traveling far and frequently to just about every major city spanning all the way to California. It has also motivated me to work even harder to make sure all tattoo experiences for my clients take place in a comfortable, clean and inviting space as well as making the experience a pleasant and memorable one. The majority of my clients range from 20 to 45 years in age. My mission is to bring a level of edge and elegance into the tattoo world. Many see the art of tattoo as grunge, crossbones and bandannas – But this art form has been around for thousands of years in many very different cultures that may symbolize very different things, but harbor the same love. The art of tattoos has been pretty male dominated for quite some time, but artists of equal talent and passion have also been known to be female – and even of color, like me. My objective is to provide a service to female (and male) clients of all ages with CUSTOM quality tattoos that reflect their personalities. I once read somewhere that “a scar is a tattoo with a better story,” but I believe a tattoo can sometimes tell one hell of a better one.

Eventually, I will evolve. I plan to turn my services into a means of therapy for the stressed and grieving.. as well as those who cause or have thoughts of doing bodily harm to themselves – All handled in strict confidentiality.

You can basically say Art (music, writing, sculpting and tattooing) is not all that I know, but it is what I love and probably the only way as of yet to send my message in aspiring to inspire.
